Returns, Refunds & Good Vibes

We’re a small independent music store run by real humans who love records, CDs, weird finds, late-night listening sessions, and far too much coffee.

If something’s not right with your order, we’ll always do our best to sort it out fairly and quickly.

Vinyl, CDs & Physical Goods

Arrived damaged? Wrong item? Postal chaos?

No stress — just get in touch within 14 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.

We may offer:

  • A replacement

  • A refund

  • Store credit

  • Or another solution that keeps everybody smiling

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • A quick description of the problem

  • Photos if the item arrived damaged

Change of Mind

Changed your mind? It happens.

You can return unopened and unused items within 14 days of receiving them.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Records and CDs must still be sealed

  • Items must be unused and in resaleable condition

  • Everything originally included must still be there

Customers cover return postage costs unless we made a mistake.

Opened Records & CDs

Because vinyl and CDs are collectable and easily damaged, we can’t normally accept returns on opened items unless they’re faulty.

If a record is genuinely defective (warped, skipping, manufacturing fault, etc.), contact us, and we’ll sort something out.

We’re record collectors too — we get it.

Digital Downloads

Digital music and downloadable products are non-returnable once downloaded.

But if your files won’t download properly, are corrupted, or you’re having technical problems, send us a message, and we’ll help get things working.

No bots. No copy-paste support scripts. Actual humans.

Refund Timing

Approved refunds are usually processed within 5–10 working days back to your original payment method.

Shipping costs are only refundable if:

  • The item was faulty,

  • Damaged,

  • Or we sent the wrong thing.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect confirmed orders.

6. Postage, Shipping & Delivery

We offer shipping options which may include:

  • Standard delivery

  • Tracked delivery

  • International delivery (where available)

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

6.2 Dispatch Times

We are not liable for:

  • Orders sent to incorrect addresses provided by the customer

  • Additional costs for reshipping returned parcels

6.6 Damaged or Lost Items in Transit

If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit:

  • Contact us within 7 days of expected delivery (lost) or 7 days of receipt (damaged)

  • We may require photographic evidence

  • We will arrange replacement or refund where appropriate

7. Digital Downloads

Digital products are licensed for personal use only.

You may not:

  • Share or redistribute files

  • Upload to file-sharing platforms

  • Use commercially without permission

Once accessed, digital downloads are non-refundable unless defective or misdescribed.

8. Returns & Refunds

8.1 Physical Products

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving goods under UK consumer law.

To qualify for a refund:

  • Items must be returned in original condition

  • Sealed items must remain unopened (where applicable)

  • Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless faulty

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving returned goods.

8.2 Faulty Items

If an item is faulty or damaged upon arrival, we will offer:

  • Replacement

  • Refund

  • Or store credit (where agreed)

9. Intellectual Property

All content, including music, artwork, branding, and website material, is owned or licensed by RootSpelle Records.

No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

10. User Accounts

Users are responsible for maintaining account security and ensuring all provided information is accurate.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts suspected of misuse or fraudulent activity.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss

  • Loss of data, income, or profit

  • Delays outside our control

Our total liability is limited to the value of the order placed.
